Jim Larkin Buried Before A Crowd Of 200,000

The lives of James “Big Jim” Larkin and James Connelly will be forever linked after the pair became political partners from 1910 to 1914 and created the modern Irish Labour Party. Read more: Jim Larkin | Wikipedia and James Larkin | Ireland Calling

Connelly was a well-educated republican who had traveled to the U.S. to build his career as a union organizer but it was Jim Larkin who captured the imagination of the public with his own brand of emotional and powerful rhetoric delivered to workers about their human rights.

Larkin had arrived in Belfast in 1907 after falling out of favor with the leaders of the English National Dock Laborers union whom he served as an organizer.

The NDLU asked Larkin to divide his time between the docks of Belfast and Dublin where less than 10 percent of the workforce were members of the union; by 1908, Larkin had seen the need for more wide-ranging union representation and created the Irish Transport and General Workers Union aimed at including tram workers in the union in the future.

The return of Connelly from the U.S. in 1910 gave Larkin’s own career fresh impetus and led to the pair establishing the Irish Labour Party in 1912 with the aim of providing political representation for the working-classes.

Jim Larkin was committed to providing a brighter future for the people of Ireland which he believed meant independence from English rule, a dream he would see fulfilled in 1921 for what would become the Republic of Ireland.

Although he is often portrayed as a man unhappy with the advancement of others in the Irish Labour Party or the ITGWU, Larkin was deeply affected when news reached him in the U.S. of the death by British Firing Squad of James Connelly following the Easter Rising of 1916.

By the time of the Easter Rising, Larkin had been forced out of Dublin by a group of 400 industrialists and business owners who used the newspapers of the time to fight against the rise of Larkin as a political leader in 2013.

Eventually returning to Dublin in 1920, Jim Larkin died in 1947 and was given a funeral worthy of his history as one of the great fighters on behalf of the Irish people with more than 200,000 attending his funeral in Dublin.

The Fairy Tale Story of Doe Deere and Lime Crime

I recently came across an interesting article on Inspirely.com (which is an amazing website for anyone looking to be inspired). It was a Question and Answer style article with the founder of ultra-chic beauty brand, Lime Crime. The founder is Doe Deere, who is as unique as the makeup she creates. She can frequently be seen with her signature ever-changing hair color. Her hair is typically a bright shade of blue, orange, pink or purple. As a side note, she has now made these brightly shades that she is known for available on the Lime Crime website and they are completely vegan and never tested on animals.

The article discussed everything from the history of Lime Crime to her advice for others wishing to start their own business. She talked about how she first got involved in the business of making her own makeup. She started simply because she was unable to find the bright shades she wanted in the level of quality that she desired. She soon learned that there was a large group of women throughout the world looking for those same shades. It was a period of time where nude of very light makeup was popular. Doe Deere has always used her makeup to stand out and to express herself. To her, makeup is more of an art form and she wanted her business to have that same feel.

She definitely succeeded. Everything about Lime Crime feels mystical and magical. She somehow managed to bring amazing quality to her products while keeping a very fun and almost child-like style. For example, Lime Crime recently released a glorious line of eyeshadows that are styled in brightly-colored plastic shell cases that are designed to look nearly identical to the ‘90s craze toy, the Polly Pocket. This isn’t out of the ordinary for Lime Crime and Doe Deere. The company likes to keep creativity in whatever it does and isn’t afraid to stand out in a crowd. In fact, the mascot for Lime Crime is a unicorn due to the fact that Doe Deere has always believed that makeup can make anyone stand out in a crowd of the ordinary – similar to plain horses – and feel like a gorgeous and magical unicorn. Fans gave her the adorable nickname of Queen of the Unicorn.

When she started making makeup products for herself, she realized that it was her life calling. She has always believed in following your life calling and blocking out fears that may keep you from achieving your goals. She started simply selling her products on an eBay store and the sales volume quickly grew to the level that she started an e-commerce website to sell Lime Crime makeup. She did short video tutorials the showcased her tips and tricks to build a following. Today, Lime Crime does millions of dollars in sales each year and has become what is known as a boutique line of makeup. The people who use Lime Crime typically come back again and again, as well as refer friends and acquaintances.

Bob Reina: What It Means To Be Special

Bob Reina is someone that knows what it means to be special. It is something he carries with him all of the time, and it is something that means a great deal to him as a human being. It is not something he is arrogant or cocky about at all. He likes to remain humble, down to earth, and he likes to be there for people. He wants to be a man of the people, and he has done that on a consistent basis. He has never backed down from a challenge, and he has never shied away from the chance to be great. After all, when someone used to work in law enforcement, they were putting their lives on the line all of the time.

Now, he wants people to test themselves and really challenge what they can do as human beings. He knows they are capable of a lot more than what they are showing. They have settled for far too long in life, and they have not really pushed things to the limit. In Bob Reina’s mind, that is the best way to get results. You have to see what is inside of you, what you can do, and what you are capable of each and every single day you are alive on this earth. It is a truly a gift, and it is not a gift that Bob Reina takes for granted. It is a gift he cherishes and it is a gift he holds near and dear to his heart.

It is why Talk Fusion wins awards. In 2016, as a matter of fact, they won two awards, one of them being the 2016 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award. Bob Reina believes in the power of solutions and how they can transform people’s lives. When they look at solutions, they are not focused on the problem. Too often in life, people are focused on the problem and they don’t think there is a solution. The solution is out there in the form of Talk Fusion, the all-in-one video communications provider. It comes with everything that one could need to get the best out of their video product when it’s all said and done. Video is truly how people are communicating, and it is how they are getting their brand out there and it is how they are getting in the public eye. It is a truly wonderful feeling when people see that what they have done is really growing and people are responding to it. It is why they have created the product in the first place. They wanted to create something that was going to alter the course of their life and other people’s lives as well. Everyone wins in that situation.

Meet The New CEO Of Banco Bradesco: Octavio De Lazari Junior

The long wait of the Brazilian financial industry is over, and Banco Bradesco declared its new CEO to lead the banking firm from March 2018. It is announced that one of the current vice presidents of the firm as well as the CEO of its insurance unit – Bradesco Seguros Group, Octavio de Lazari Junior will take charge of the CEO.

Since its current Chief Executive of the bank, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi, was appointed as the new Chairman of the firm in October 2017, the bank was in the search for the fitting candidate. Though Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi assumes both the role, for the time being, the Brazilian banking regulations do not permit any single person holding both the roles more than six months.

Since the bank follows a procedure of finding a suitable candidate from its workforce to the top post, all the seven VPs of the firm were considered for the role. However, the reports confirm that Lazari Junior was not considered as a favorite for the role though he had a long career journey with the bank. The company was announcing the replacement in the management on February 5, 2018. Interestingly, Lazari Junior will take charge of the top role on March 12, 2018 – after the Board of Directors nods the approval.

Additionally, Lazari Junior will also be appointed as the President of the Executive Council of the bank in place of Trabuco Cappi. Lazari Junior has over four decades of close association with the bank, and he began serving a branch in Sao Paulo as an office boy at the age of 15. During those days, he was employed with an agency and was not part of the workforce of the bank. Lazari Junior became the Manager of the agency in a few years. He decided to make a foray into the bank and served various roles in the initial years.

Since 1998, Lazari Junior began making his contributions in the credit area and became a director according to insiders.morningstar.com . In 2010, he was appointed as the department director in the bank with responsibilities of Finances and Loans. After two years, he was appointed to the Executive Director’s Board. In 2017, Lazari Junior became the President of the insurance unit of the bank as well as the VP of the banking firm. It is confirmed that Lazari Junior would continue to hold the leadership role of the Bradesco Seguros Group though he got the elevation.

The current Chairman of the firm, Trabuco Cappi initiated his career journey at his age of 18 as he joined the bank as an office clerk in 1969. In the next four decades, he assumed various roles and took initiatives for a number of flagship programs of the bank. Some of them include the digital banking efforts, some critical acquisition programs, and diversification of business into new areas. Apart from serving the bank, Trabuco Cappi also serves on the boards of a number of companies in various sectors. He was part of Brasilian division of ArcelorMittal Board.
